As the New Year has arrived, it’s important for us to acknowledge some positivity and indulge in an optimistic approach within ourselves for bettering ourselves and making sure our country prospers. 2018 was a year of highs and lows. It’s important to mention that while certainly there were many negative things and the perpetrators who were responsible for them will be brought to justice. But let’s focus on the positivity as well. The positivity isn’t actually about what happened the previous year but the positivity here is moving forward to a new year and leaving things behind in the past.
Talking about government should be doing this and that is part of a normal routine and as citizens of the country we are entitled to question them, but the real change which can have a massive impact is changing ourselves. So don’t feel bad about that job you lost, that course you failed, that break-up which was probably for the best. Instead, think about moving a step ahead and learning from your mistakes and turn them into a life lesson instead of a sob story.
This is not to say that 2019 will be a year without twists. Bad things will happen because unfortunately or fortunately depending on what you take from it but you will be more cautious this time. Do stuff that you were afraid to do and challenge yourself instead of giving up. Talk to your crush, question your teacher or learn to swim instead of just over thinking about the reactions. You never what might happen.
Many of you might be disappointed thinking that was a political post due to the title. The actual meaning behind Naya Pakistan is the new you. Happy New Year.
